Volunteers Wanted!

Volunteers - would you like to help the facilitator and girls during our programs?

Program Partners - are you an organization with girls who could benefit from Girls Inc. programs?

Program Sponsors - are you a business or individual who can help with expenses of part or all of a program?

Volunteers help us reach girls and the community. We need to contact people and organizations and get word out to the Tucson/Pima County community about our non-profit and tell them how we can help girls in under-served areas. We have many opportunities for you to get involved. Please consider one of the following needs and help us fill an important position which will take us closer to realizing our dreams and reaching our goals.

Most of our Volunteers are women, but we want you to know that men can volunteer, too. We want our girls to know that men care about their lives, too.

Would you like to Volunteer? Please fill out our Online Volunteer Application
or email.

Jasmine Jimenez

I chose Girls Inc. because I knew it was a wonderful organization that helps girls develop their skills and self esteem. I want Girls Inc. to grow in Tucson because I wish it would have been here when I was younger and needed help finding my career path and fighting society's low expectations for women.

Kim Benson

New to Tucson, Kim was looking for an opportunity to get involved in the community. "I found Girls Inc. on the Volunteer Center of Tucson web site...There is a big world out there full of exciting, interesting and beautiful things. I want girls to be able to see past the boundaries that are set up for them and go out and do big things."

Cynthia Flores-Ybarra

Formerly with Girls Inc. of Denver, Cynthia relocated back home to the Tucson area and connected with our newer affiliate upon landing. Cynthia brings a wealth of first-hand experience in working with girls to our chapter. Cynthia has been active in helping our newly formed committees target the Latina population. Cynthia was guest speaker at the Sunnyside School Media Night in March 2006 and again addressed participants at the Celebration Breakfast held in October 2007.

Cynthia is a program facilitator and currently delivering local workshops with the Girls Inc. Tucson Facilitor Team on Money Talks. Her program experience and enthusiasm in helping us reach girls in the Tucson/Pima County area has energized our team and taken our non-profit forward.
