Today

Girls Inc. of Southern Arizona strives to give girls the life skills they need to deal with the challenges they face today and to achieve their full potential. We do so through innovative and interactive programs on an outreach basis, by collaborating with local school and other community organizations.

History

Our Organization and Board of Directors were formed in April 2006. Through Board functions and volunteer assistance, we have since implemented our own community relations and fundraising events and have participated in events sponsored by others in the community. In early 2008 we began offering Girls Inc. workshops to girls in the community, and in the fall of 2008 we launched full-length Girls Inc. programs. We are doing this with trained, professional facilitators and volunteer assistants at sites of two other organizations already serving girls. As a growing organization we continue to reach out to the community for additional volunteers, board members, advocates, donors, supporters, and program partners so that we may achieve our mission of "inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold.SM"
