GISA in the Marana Weekly News,

on April 30th for announcing the launch of Girls Inc. Families Fit Together, an award winning national fitness and nutrition program aimed at girls ages 9 to 14 and their families. By teaming girls with family members in interactive nutrition and physical fitness workshops, Girls Inc. encourages families to work together in making healthy choices and setting healthy goals.

GISA was highlighted in the May edition of Vista,

the newsletter of the Greater Tucson chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners. GISA is proud to be a Strategic Alliance Partner of NAWBO, and GISA's mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold reflects the ideals of NAWBO members in helping young women take control of their lives.

Major programs address math and science education, media literacy, economic literacy, violence prevention and sports participation, pregnancy and drug abuse prevention.
